An Adaptive Visible Watermarking Algorithm Based on DCT

By analyzing the of the Characteristics brightness and contrast of the human visual system,an adaptive visible watermarking algorithm based on DCT was proposed.According to the brightness feature of the original image,the pixel values of the original watermark was modified.The light original image therefore was embedded the dark watermark and the dark original image was embedded the light watermark.According to the local brightness characteristic of the original image,watermark was embedded with different strength in the DCT domain which acquired good visual effect.The experiment results show that the semi-transparent watermark is distributed over the important domain of the carrier image which can effectively preserve the details of the carrier image.It seems that removing the visible watermarking without damaging the original image is very difficult.
