Dimidiate Window Improving and FPGA Implementation of Series Turbo Decoder

A more effective decoding scheme than sliding-window is proposed and mamed dimidiate window algorithm.This algo-rithm not only expends less time,but also avoids the performance decline than the sliding-window.This algorithm is applied on the series concatenated Turbo codes,and it is simulated with Matlab and implemented with Verilog language on Xilinx XC3S1500 FPGA.The test results show that this algorithm reduces decoding delay and ensures the code performance.
