An Optimized Design of Data Cache in a Multiprocessor System

Cache is one of the most popular methods to solve the problem of the speed difference between the CPU and the Memory. This Paper presents the architecture of memory subsystem of a 32-bit RISC microprocessor chip,which names LongTengR2 , and discusses the optimized approach in design of Data Cache in multiprocessor system in details, including the implementation of the MEI protocol . The result of simulation and synthesis shows that the design is fulfill the system demand.
