A Model of Event Driven Handling Technique in SOA

Ren Yongfeng · 2008

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) are two different paradigms that address complex integration challenges. A combination of SOA and EDA is emerging as a viable and appropriate solution to fulfill the complex requirements of the business processes. Service-oriented and event-driven communication architecture is natural fit for distributed enterprise applications because of their modularity, scalability, loose coupling, asynchronous component interactions, and extensibility. We propose a model based technique to implement service-oriented and event-driven architecture where we use industry standard modeling language to model resources, events and applications. Our specific innovations are in the areas of dynamic event publishing and subscription, event polling, event filtering and indication.
