Analysis on Substation Operating Costs Based on Cloud Model

Lin Yan-ting · Power System Technology · 2010

Based on cloud model theory, the operating cost of substation is calculated and analyzed in detail.Firstly, substation operating cost is divided into three parts,i.e.,operation cost, cost for routine maintenance and repairing and power interruption cost, and respective computing formula for these parts are given;then a calculation model of substation operating cost is built to determine fixed values and uncertain values;finally, taking a certain substation for example, according to Monte Carlo random number method the Weibull distribution is fetched and 20 sets of cost data are obtained, then based on these data and utilizing backward cloud generator three characteristic values of normal cloud, namely expectation, entropy and excess entropy, are obtained.By use of Matlab programming language the normal cloud chart is formed. The normal cloud chart can intuitively make the most probable value and possible interval of operating cost, thus the confidence level of cost computation is improved.
