The Teaching of Filter Design Based on FDATool and CCS

A new teaching method of digital filter design is discussed in this paper,which using the filter design and analysis tool(FDATool),calling the functions of TI's standard algorithms library(DSPLIB).This innovation has proved to be an effective way to improve the students' ability of filter design,while overcoming the disadvantages of direct programming with the traditional assemble language or C/C++ language.In addition,the method can be applied to industrial DSP system design.The result shows that the reform could greatly shorten the design period of DSP system and improve efficiency of programming.
