Design and Implementation of Database Integration System Based on Ontology

In light of the semantic heterogeneous problems existing in the data integration of the heterogeneous data sources,especially the semantic layer of heterogeneous elements,the system can be designed into three layers through the existing XML-based data integration.The XML model heterogeneous data sources can be packed in the data layer.The conversion from global queries to local queries can be realized in the middle layer,which is added between user layer and data layer.Also brings the ontology into the integrated system framework,through the middle layer to establish the global ontology and local ontology database libraries,as well as building a mapping between ontology library,to solve the semantic heterogeneous problems in the data integration of the heterogeneous data sources.
