Novel approach for converting AutoCAD drawing to XAML file

The authors proposed an automatic approach to convert AutoCAD drawings into XAML file by using AutoCAD plug-in technology. This approach extended AutoCAD by using ObjectArx and made use of Application Programming Interface (API) provided by WPF to export AutoCAD drawings into XAML files. The experimental results show that the XAML file converted by the proposed method can preserve the graphic information of the AutoCAD drawings very well.
