In order to improve the automatization of map generalization,we should not only develop more advantage automatic generalization algorithms,but also manage and use these generalization algorithms effectively.However,most researches now are still in the first space,and we seldom touch the aspect of algorithm management.This paper put forward a new concept termed of automatic generalization algorithm,and designs and establishes the automatic generalization algorithm metadata based on key items of map use,algorithm operation,algorithm parameters,and assistant items of algorithm's basic information,experience information,improvement information and integrate assessment criteria etc.This kind of metadata is vital and more convenient to manage and use automatic generalization algorithms,and makes greater supports to improve automatic generalization automatization and level.
