Research on knowledge correctness checking in semantic Web

Kehong Wang · Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems · 2005

To check the knowledge correctness in the Semantic web, a method of checking it by using the existing knowledge bases was provided. The general knowledge hierarchy structures were checked by using WordNet and the hypernym relations. The domain knowledge was checked by adding domain knowledge base. The domain knowledge base was accessed uniformly by implementing an interface. Using this interface, the domain knowledge correctness was checked. Three popular ontology languages in Semantic web as RDF (Resource Description Framework), DAML (DARPA Agent Markup Language) and OWL (Web Ontology Language), were supported in this method. Finally, the time complexity of this method was also analyzed.
