The original contour must be on the real contour because the snake model is sensitive to the original contour's location,or results are generally inaccurate.original contour is often gained from images' relative information when serial images are segmented.This original contour may be far from the real contour and its part is inside the real contour whereas the other part is exterior.Some researchs for this problem and widens the conditions of choosing the original contour are made of.
