For developing the program that can operate new technology file system(NTFS) directly, and solving the technical problem in the field of NTFS development,an analysis is taken for the index B+ tree on-disk structure of specific directories.Due to the disk storage structure of NTFS large directory is affected by the size of master file table(MFT) and index buffer, the concept of three-level large directory is put forward, and based on this the dynamic discipline of changing in the structure of directories under the relevant file operations is summarized. The program verifies that, the analysis is feasible, and it can help to understand the structure of NTFS file system in-depth.
