Application programs need to contact and communicate reciprocally in Windows.OLE,serving as such an automatic server, would provide the interface to drive programs. The real value of OLE means a set of standards, which integrate development tools with application programs such as Word or Excel. With running Excel and Matlab as examples, the principle and application of OLE have been studied in this paper.A reference method is introduced to programmers in practical software projects.
