A number of researches have been done on the impact of auto electromagnetic interference to the environment at home and abroad. However, the domestic research in this area are backward, most of which are limited to the experience and experimental stage while focus little on the theory of auto electromagnetic interference and its suppression. In this paper, the spark current caused by capacitor discharge during the process of spark plug gap breakdown is simulated by modeling the equivalent circuit of the second-circuit capacitor discharge of the auto ignition system. The results show that:without affecting the ignition system, the build-in resistance should be increased to the maximum and be positioned as close as possible to the discharge electrode and the length of the high-voltage wire should be minimized in order to suppress the EMI.This study provides theoretical and numerical reference to the auto electromagnetic compatibility.
