Application of Mesh Security Association in WLAN Mesh Networks

Along with the rapid deployment of wireless local area network, wireless mesh networks based on IEEE 802. 11s standard has been booming recently. However, the security problems existing in 802.11s mesh network have not been solved by a proper solution, especially for peer mesh points to authenticate each other secretly and establish a confidential link association. In this paper, the author proposes a Security Architecture Solution by applying a new protocol called Mesh Security Association, which has been introduced in IEEE 802.11s, and analyzes the feasibility of this approach.
