iSCSI Transparent Reliable Multicast Based on Similar Payload

This paper proposes an I/O acceleration strategy for network computing system established by iSCSI protocol——iSCSI transparent reliable multicast based on similar payload.By detecting the similar payload form I/O request blocks and extending iSCSI protocol,it constructs double data transport paths: one is for iSCSI PDU,and the other is for similar payload.Consequently the transporting of network compute data is accelerated.Experimental result shows that the strategy can improve the I/O performance of concurrent clients.
