To improve the efficiency and flexibleness of reliable broadcast/multicast MAC protocol in wireless multi-hop network, a novel efficient adaptive reliable broadcast/multicast MAC protocol was brought forward. The idea of design came into being based on the broadcast/multicast cost function, which was proposed by analyzing different realizations of reliable broadcast/multicast.According to the function, the protocol could select adaptively the optimal realization in various scenarios.Extensive analysis and simulation results validate the reliability and efficiency of it.
