Research on geometry parameter extraction for burner's jet images

The paper proposed a new approach to analyse flow-field and extract feature of single burner jet.The procedure of the approach can be implemented as follows: obtaining image of the cold-state jet flow at the burner's outlet with the tracer;treating the images including gray transform,median flitting,fringe detecting and figure pick-up using VC++.The software program for the processing of the jet images has been developed.The algorithms for flow-field analysis and feature extraction are designed and optimized.Thereafter,the edge figure of jet flow is successfully extracted.At last,qualitative feature extraction of jet flow is realized.
