AbstrcatThis paper mainly introduces the basic principles of top research methods——JPEG and fractal image compression, analyses parameters such as compression/decompression kernel technology,compression rate,blocing domino effect,resolving power and symmetry time ,compares JPEG with fractal image compression.It finally puts forward the development foreground of above two ways.
