A Wavelet-based Synthetic Technology for Denoising Magnetic Resonance Image

Zhengqiang Wang · Modern Electronic Technique · 2005

It is important for MRI to be preprocessed before being used for analysis due to the limitation of imaging methodology which lead to some important information submerged in noise. This paper presents a wavelet-based multiscale products thresholding scheme for noise suppression of magnetic resonance images. Different wavelet subbands use different thresholds. Comparing with the Donoho softthresholdvalue denoising method, experimental results on this method are more effectively remove image noise with minimum image details loss.
