Solution of data access control with ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption in cloud computing

Wen Yuhu · Journal of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications · 2013

Data security and access control is one of the most challenging ongoing research work in cloud computing, because of users outsourcing their sensitive data to cloud providers. Existing solutions usually apply cryptographic methods by disclosing data decryption keys to mitigate these security and access control problems suffer from heavy computational overhead for key distribution and data management on the data owner as well as additional difficulties in designing revocation mechanism. This paper addresses this challenge using CP-ABE technique that ensures only valid users will access the outsourced data. This work also proposes the based CP-ABE-R solution that alleviates the problem of user revocation mechanism in cloud. Analysis shows that the proposed approach is highly efficient and secure under security models.
