Research and practice of EIS for engineering project manager

The process of engineering project management is complicated with a large amount of information. Top managers of the investment part urgently need a tailored information system to help them solve different sorts of problems decision in and management problems. This paper discusses the features and general functions of EIS. On the basis of the analysis about the work of managers who are totally responsible for large engineering project management, the architecture of Lotus Notes-based Executive Information System for engineering project manager is proposed.
