Combining ability analysis and genetic parameter estimation of 5 new super sweet corn lines

5 super sweet corn lines were tested with the design of P_1×P_2 uncomplete diallel crossing of NCⅡmethod to study combining ability and genetic parameters of 11 traits.The results indicated that CT46 and SZ had good GCA performance in most traits,so they could be used to cross with other lines to obtain good sweet corn combinations,in the same time,CT46×265OR1,QX1×265OR1 and TT5×HZ3 three excellent combinations were obtained.Through genetic parameter analysis of 10 traits,the results indicated some traits(ear diameter,ear height,row number per ear and bare tip length) had high narrow sense heritability,so they could be selected in early generations,other traits were not fit for selection in early generations.
