The connotation of precision agriculture and its developing prospect in China

Precision agriculture is based on the GIS, GPS, RS and the computer system, whose concept and recent development are summarized in this article. The gene engineering of plant has become an important part of precision agriculture. Proceeded from China's actual conditions, the development of precision agriculture needs people renew the idea and put into practice step by step. The problems it will probably produce, for example, the diversion of the role of peasants in future is discussed.
