Design and application of urban drainage information management system

An expert system for urban drainage information management based on GIS is proposed in this dissertation.The drainage management system was designed combining with the current situation of Tianjin Harbor industrial zone.Rainfall information is predicted and running state of sewage water in drainage network is simulated through geographic information system(GIS),drainage network model and optimized pump station scheduling,thus a real-time scheduling scheme for pump station is decided with predicted data and expert experience.The established system provide scientific guides and references for the managers effectively carrying out the daily management,pumping station scheduling and handling emergencies.Data sharing between the different management departments was realized and it is of great significance to improve the efficiency and level of the urban drainage system management.
