Medical image coding based on fractal quadtree and EZW

The improved Mallat algorithm is utilized to fractal quadtree coding based on wavelet transform.The improved Mallat algorithm is taken to the original medical image,then the four highest subimages blocks are coded by lossless coding.Fractal quadtree coding based on wavelet transform is taken to the left subimages.Experimental results testify that the quality of the reconstructed image is increased and the effectiveness of the algorithm is also testified.
