Management of Chinese Hospital Information System(CHIS)

Objective The function of Chinese Hospital Information System(CHIS) software was improved in order to promote the working effeciency, standardization and modernization of hospital management.Methods CHIS software was introduced from Zhongbang Huizhi Computer Company, Beijing,and equipped with corresponding computer and network. It was managed on both technology and administration by four key points:1.technological maintainace,2.administrative organization, 3.training and assistance, 4. information output. Results During the recent two odd years of CHIS performing in our hospital, the efficiency and the comprehensive benifit of each department have been highly improved. All the faculties have been involved in the management activity and their total quality have been improved. Conclusion By application of up to date high technique, three alteration in administration were realized including: the alteration from experience to scientific management, from qualitative to quantitation management and static to dynamic management. These alterations resulted in strenthening the activiting of hospital management, to founding the basis in smooth practicing of medical insurance in 2001.
