New Method to Evaluate the Reliability of Stochastic-Flow Network

Proposed a method called state-tree search to calculate the reliability of stochastic-flow networks, and then an improved method SS-MC (State-tree Search Monte Carlo) was presented based on state-tree search. State-tree search method searches all the success network states in a state-tree in order to calculate the network reliability. SS-MC introduces stratified sample into state-tree search to solve the reliability evaluation of large-scale problems. Simulation results indicate that SS-MC was an effective method with lower variance.
