Design and implementation of query processing system of native XML database:XSQS

XML has become the de facto criterion of data representation and data exchange on the web. Implementing efficient storing and querying structure for XML data is becoming more and more important. The development status of Native XML databases in China and abroad are introduced, and the function and the main frame of a Native XML DBMS system is discussed, XSQS. The compressed table based storage structure and index structure is used. And the result set based query process is used. The design and the implementation of query process system is focused. The result shows that the integration of this storage, index structure and the query process makes remarkable improvement of query efficiency.
