Application of Phase Frequency Detector HMC440 in C Band Synthesizer

This article introduces an typical application of HMC440 which is an ultra low phase noise floor phase frequency detector produced by HITTITE.It is provided with high detecting frequency,ultra low phase noise floor and a digital programmable frequency divider integrated in the chip.And it is the key component in a low noise phase lock loop frequency synthesizer.In the systems such as: satellite communication systems,military communication systems,Sonet clock generation systems,asked for ultra low noise Carrier Wave(CW) and Local Oscillator(LO),this component has a good prospect of application.
