The improved algorithm of iris image segmentation

Iris segmentation is the premise for iris recognition,and an iris segmentation algorithm is proposed to improve the performance of iris segmentation.The localization of the inner and outer boundary is used of edge detection combining of Hough transform.As for the detection of eyelid,edge detection combining with least square method is used to detect them.Finally,eyelashes in the ring region of iris are detected by threshold method.The experimental results show that algorithm can divide the iris region effectively and remove the eyelid and the eyelashes,which greatly improves the speed and accuracy of iris segmentation.
