Green Energy-Saving Algorithm Based on Cognitive Radio

In order to reduce the cost of energy,a wireless system is expected to operate in energy-efficiently mode.By using mathematical theory of constrained optimization and MATLAB,some numerical simulations on the power consumption of multi-channel cognitive radio system with a constraint on the target rate are carried out.The simulation results show that energy-saving is significant by optimizing the power allocation.In particular,the energy-saving for Class-A power-amplifier is up to 70%,and the energy-saving for Class-B power-amplifier is up to 15%-25% in four channels and 50% in ten channels.
