A Survey of Hydrology Database Construction of Foreign Countries

Several developed countries have achieved a series of accomplishment of hydrology database,while the progress of hydrologic database in China is slow.This paper investigated the construction of hydrologic databases and the corresponding products in U.S.A,Russian,the European Union and Australia.The hydrologic data sharing standards have been established and the stored hydrologic data have been integrated to provide an efficient hydrologic water resources information platform in these countries and region.All This presents precious information for hydrologic data sharing and the construction of hydrology database,which promotes the development of hydrology informationalization.Through the collection,analysis and understanding,this paper expects to provide valuable information for the construction of hydrological database in China.
