With the expansion of urban area and road construction,the quantity of vehicles is increased.And the monitoring,dispatch and management of the buses have become an important issue for the transportation system.The Vehicle-mounted GPS(Global Positioning System) Intelligent Bus-stop Announcement System is a software platform based on GPS,GIS(Geographic Information System) and wireless communication techniques.It is dedicated to bus monitoring and dispatch,providing real-time monitoring and scientific dispatch of buses and minimizing the accident rate.The operating principle,structure and functions of the Vehicle-mounted GPS Intelligent Bus-stop Announcement System as well as institutional arrangement for ensuring normal and effective operation of GPS are introduced.
