An effective algorithm of text extraction

An algorithm of text extraction based on section location and frame deletion is proposed by means of the feature that the sign text is detached obviously from background is segmented natural scene image.Firstly,the sign region is located in gray image using project and edge detection algorithm,and then sign text is extracted based on frame deletion algorithm.Large experimental results illustrate that the proposed method can accurately locate the sign region is accurately and extract irregular sign text.
