XML data-storing model based on persistent DOM

As an international standard of data exchange over Internet,XML has played an increasing(important) role.With using XML language widely,there exists a steady increase in the amounts of XML documents.For storing XML documents efficiently,a XML data-storing model had been designed.In the model,XML data are stored and updated based on DOM.XML data are queried based on Xpath language.Traditional relation database systems are used as under-layer data storing approach by employed persistent DOM technique.The model,making use of mature relational database technique adequately,can extend a general relational database system into a XML database without disturbing the daily works of the relational database.
