Design and implementation of the space database for the configuration and management system of water resources in Heihe River Basin

To dealt with the problem of water resources in Heihe River Basin,the system of water resources configuration and management for the Heihe River Basin has to be built by means of new and high technology,and in particular the design and implementation of the space database shall be the centerpiece for the system.The space database technology based on RDBMS has incomparable advantages in store,management ,maintenance and inquiry of great capacity special data.The paper presents the design and implementation of the large space database.Practice has indicated that the orient object data model is the most effective,based on middleware technology with a large RDBMS as the platform.
