Because of the complexity of the transformer design and the extensive use of empirical formula in design and the diversity in the market, transformers’ design need frequent calculating and drawing work. The paper introduces design example which applies VB to achieve parametric drawing in transformer core' design and analyzes transformer core' structure, discussing its parameter determination, the correlation computation and its core at all levels of sizes and the database connection and the query method. It draws different series of laminated-core by debuging the movement and achieves a complete mapping projects to increase the efficiency of product development, so it has certain promoted value.
