Antenna cooperation is to form a virtual antenna array that can provide dramatic diversity gains in slow fading wireless environments. However, most of the existing solutions need distributed space-time coding, which increases the design complexity.Recently,A.Bletsas has proposed a novel scheme that alleviates these problems and provides diversity gains on the order of the number of relays. In the scheme, the best relay is selected. However, the selection failure may happen because of the collision.!In this paper,we propose an improved cooperative diversity method by using CSMA protocols. The simulation results show that the collision probability drops dramatically.Theoretical analysis shows that this method can also provide the same diversity gains as the situation without collision.
