A Simplified 3-D Reconstruction Algorithm

We investigate a simplified 3-D reconstruction algorithm for 2-D images acquired from camera. The algorithm relied on the intensity-based similarity measure and searched the corresponding points of the two images automatically. Given this similarity measure, parametric ultrasound image registration is stated as a minimization issue. The depth information is calculated in terms of the imaging geometric model. We even exploit region correspondence technique and uniqueness strategy to enhance the precision and robustness of the algorithm.
