The study of activity float properties is the basis of managing project schedule.Aiming at the problem that whether an arbitrary activity consuming float affects float of preceding, succeeding and parallel activities,i.e.,the problem of activity float spread property, the paper gives a mark-value algorithm based on activity-on-arc network planning and proves its correctness by applying several concepts of float, especially forward common float and back common float.By using the algorithm, the paper measures the affected degree and scope for whole network planning quantitatively and analyzes the mutation rules of each activity′s float when an arbitrary activity consumes float, and furthermore amends formulae of calculating time parameter.
