This paper firstly expatiates the theory and means of software quality metrics, and introduces the ISO9126 model. In order to solve the problems existing in traditional metrics models of software quality,a model named PMMSQ(Practicable Metrics Model of Software Quality)that suits the environment of practice,is proposed. The steps of the quality metrics is presented for the software in object-oriented systems. Finally the kenel work of the software metrics activity, which is the design and implementation of the object feature set repository,is done based on the PMMSQ model.
