Hazard-deciding indices for convergence of debris flow

By comparison of assessment methods of danger degree between debris flow in single gully and regional debris flow this paper presents discriminating danger degree of debris flows rushing into the main channel using effect degree, danger degree and disaster degree of debris flows, analyses the affecting factor that debris flows blocks main river, and establishes a calculation equation of dangerous decision index of debris flows rushing into the main channel. After verification by illustration, the calculation equation is very practical. The authors believe that it can be regarded as technical reference of planning and design.
