An rapid implementation of Transcendental functions

Transcendental functions have been applied in various areas of modern digital signal processing in recent years.An implementation of transcendental functions based on look-up tables and Taylor expansion is proposed in this paper.A device based on the implementation has been equipped on BWDSP100,an national DSP processor.The device is capable of calculating the fixed point arctg(x)and floating point 1/x.
