A STUDY ON THE AUTOMATIC UNDERSTANDING OF THREE-VIEW DRAWINGS

An understanding system of three view drawings is illustrated in this paper.The understanding of primitive objects constructed by elementary objects of a uniformthickness type is achieved.The whole process of understanding involves the construction of a 3 D model,the loop drawing,the formation of uniform thickness objects,the formation of real objects and the construction of 3 D structures.The whole system adopts a structure quite similar to an expert system′s.It separates every primitive part from the original object in light of man′s knowledge about the understanding of three view drawings and the relations between three view drawings by use of the heuristic inferring method.A 3 D structure of the object is then formed from primitive parts.3 D projection drawings are displayed to show the results.
