A Novel Modeling Method forTCP Congestion Control
Dong Liu · Radio Engineering · 2011
The Internet has experienced explosive growth in the past few years, but is followed by increasingly serious congestion problems. To understand the cause of the congestion problem and design valid congestion control strategies, the Colored Petri Nets has been introduced to simulate the TCP transmission control, which presents the changing process of the window size and buffer size during the congestion.Based on the result,a valid design principle which considers the window size and buffer size together has been proposed to get a good tradeoff between transmission rate and bandwidth utilization.
