Parallel applications with energy and low-latency constraints are emerging in various networked embedded systems like digital signal processing, vehicle tracking, and infrastructure monitoring. However, conventional energy-driven task allocation schemes only concentrate on energy-saving rather than makespan of parallel applications. The situation of the long length of the schedules is unfavorable or even not tolerated. This paper addressed the issue of allocating tasks with an objective of energy-saving and short-latency.Proposed a novel task allocation strategy EATA.Experimental results demonstrate that proposed scheme is effective in a heterogeneous embedded system.
