Noise filtering and simulation for underwater image

Good results are obtained using Non-local Means algorithm to filter noise for underwater images.It can filter most of the noise while maintain the clear edge of objects in the images.It is fit for image pre-processing of underwater images which have much of grain noise.Compared with the median filter and the mean filter,it can improve the signal to noise ratio better.
