A DISTRIBUTION NEWORK PLANNING METHOD BASED ON GIS
Xiqing Guo · Power System Technology · 2002
In mathematics the distribution network planning problem is an NP-hard problem. When the scale of the problem is enlarged, it is still a difficult task to find its global optimal solution. A suggestion of using geographical information system (GIS) to improve the planning of the distribution network is put forward. On the basis of the applied model of GIS the sub-system model based on GIS and its algorithm are given, by which the size of the problem is obviously reduced. The research result shows that by means of GIS the planning process will be interactive, the result of planning will be intuitive and the adjustment of the planning will be more flexible.
