SAR Speckle Reduction with 2-D Lifting Transform

This paper presents an improved 2-D separable lifting transform,which is based on the idea of lifting algorithm.And then a speckle reduction method based on the 2-D separable lifting transform is designed in this paper.The algorithm presented here can achieve both noise reduction and feature preservation.Finally,the proposed method is compared to wavelet transform and statistics filter techniques applied on some SAR images.Experimental results show that the performance of the method is better.
